Gas Direct Vent Inserts
Gas inserts are a great way to make an existing fireplace efficient while also adding a secondary heat source to your home. Using a flexible liner to vent the unit, you do not have to worry about the drafting issues with older wood burning fireplaces. A gas insert is inserted directly into an existing fireplace and vented up the existing chimney sealing off the old wood fireplace. Fireplace Xtrordinair, Lopi, Avalon, and Mendota have a wide variety of decorative faces to choose from. We are also very pleased to have the newest gas insert from Mendota called the FV 44i burning on display which is a full view insert allowing for a much larger viewing area compared to most inserts on the market. If you have your heart set on a gas fireplace but are unable to vent one, a vent-free system will meet all your needs. We offer complete packages including the vent-free firebox, logs, and mantel surrounds. We can also convert an existing wood fireplace to a vent-free gas log set. If a fireplace is too large for you, consider a vent-free gas stove also available in many colors.
